The
Role of Governing Council
The Governing Council works in
partnership with the principals and staff to oversee the
development and implementation of our Partnerships Plan. The
Partnerships Plan sets out what we value as a school, our codes of
practice, our core business and the strategic directions we wish
to take to bring about whole school improvements. A copy of our

2003- 2005 can be sent to you.

"This should be another very
interesting and productive year for Governing Council. Our
school has been operating under Partnerships 21 for 3 years,
and we are now accustomed to the differences in
the Council’s function. At our meetings we focus on the
school priority areas and discuss the progress being made in
our Partnerships Plan and Annual Plan goals. We also
continue to contribute to the development of school
policies.
We believe we have an important role
to play in the development of parents' knowledge and
understanding about educational issues. We look forward
to providing more of the high quality information sessions
and workshops that our school community has highly valued
over the past 8 years."
