During Week 8 of Term 1, the Junior Primary students travelled to the
Noarlunga Aquatics centre for four days of swimming instruction.
Happy Valley students are involved in
swimming or aquatics at every year level throughout the school. Swimming
is a very important part of Happy Valley School's Health and Physical
Education programme. Our children live in a country in which the climate
is ideal for outdoor recreational past-times, particularly activities
and sports associated with water. And Australians love the water! For
these reasons, water safety and water skills are particularly important.
By the time students reach Year 7, most are very capable swimmers who
can safely enjoy the many aquatic activities Australian people enjoy.
As children pass through each year level,
they are exposed to a wide variety of swimming activities, usually
during Term 1. Follow the Junior Primary students on their swimming
activities by clicking on the link below.
