The Police Beat Band performs to the students in the School Hall

On Friday April 4th 2008, the school was visited by the South Australian Police Force's Police Beat Band. This band, which is part of the Band of the South Australian Police Force, was formed to take music into schools and community groups while reinforcing important safety messages.

The band performed to an audience of all Junior Primary and Primary classes in the School Hall. In addition to a light-hearted musical performance, members of the band provided information about the various instruments used by the band members. In addition, the band members talked about the role the police play in helping to make our community a safer place in which to live.

The performance was  accompanied by the distribution of an activity book, the 'School Beat Book', which tells the reader about the role and work of police in the community.

The school would like to thank the members of the Police Beat Band for visiting our school and entertaining and informing our students.
